and why should you care?
We all know the meaning of a Vision. It’s a wish, a hope, and a plan for change. As an elected official or administrator, we assume you have a vision for your community of making it a better place than it was when you began your service. The Plus is our way of defining the plan and the resources to make your vision come true. That’s what VisionPlus is all about!
Our vision is to help you make your vision a reality. We understand that these are not the best of times and that you face diminished tax revenues, increased demand for services, deteriorating infrastructure, growing unemployment (with a resulting increase in crime), a general lack of confidence in government, and nothing but bad news at every turn.
You may have heard the term elevator talk. It is a term describing the ability for a business person to tell a stranger what they do in 30 seconds or less in clear terms that are easily understood by a stranger. Coming up with an elevator talk description of our business, or any other, requires some effort - here's ours!
When you ask what we do, our answer is - As you may know, all government agencies are facing significant revenue deficits. Our business is helping municipal governments in dealing with budget deficits while simultaneously improving services without additional taxes. That is basically our mission statement.
We also have a motto (every orginization should have one). Ours is Helping you do more for less!
We think you could benefit from the services of an organization dedicated to helping you develop and implement effective measures to make your community a model for others to follow. To help you accomplish your objectives, we have put together a resource team that will address specific needs in the areas of Administration, Budgetary Planning, and Community Action - the ABC's for building a better community!
There is a very nominal annual fee for our services that is based on population. Our primary focus is in serving communities of fewer than 25,000 although we are available to serve any entity – municipal or county, of any size. We will discuss this more in the Our Services section of this web page.
We've have provided an overview of what we do at www.info4u.us/LittleEngine.pdf. This is actually a copy of a tri-fold brochure that can be printed front and back for distribution to others. You'll have a pretty good idea of our services after review of this brochure. More detailed information is contained in other sections of this web page. Of course there is some information that is reserved for those we serve.
